Finished up the 4 month follow up testing today at BWH. My veins did not cooperate so I feel a bit like a pincushion. They used contrast dye in both tests as that is the best way way to see everything vascular, including tumors. At least once the IV was in for the CT scan, they kept it in until the MRI was completed. Need to really hydrate to flush all the dye out.
I stopped by the radiation room on L2 at BWH where I was treated for 5 weeks to see if Jackie or Amy were working. Jackie was in and we shared a big hug and lots of smiles. It was great to see her as she and her co-workers played a major role in getting me ready for surgery. I wanted to make sure I stopped by to say thank you! Amy was out so I only saw half the “A” team. Amy had her baby in August and she has a beautiful baby boy.
As usual, the folks at BWH were great. The follow up to get the results will be November 18th at 3pm with my surgeon, Dr Ferrone. It was on the 17th but they had to move it as my onocoligist had to take sometime off to rest a bad back.
The plan is to take Kathy out for an Italian birthday dinner after the appointment in the North End of Boston to celebrate the good news.
